Gobble Gobble

We had a lovely Thanksgiving with surprisingly no major problems in the kitchen. As the pictures show, Parker is a big fan of turkey and he cleared his plate along with some pumpkin pie!

Baby in my Belly

In our efforts to explain to Parker that there is a baby growing in mommy's tummy, he now believes there is a baby in everyone's belly, including his own.

New Addition

We are thrilled to announce that Parker is due to be a big brother on May 7th. All reports from the doctor have been great so far.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Parker seems to be a natural at both football and driving. Although we are working hard to teach him that stunts on the 4 wheeler are dangerous at this stage of his career.




And what better way to spend part of a holiday weekend than a visit from Grandpa Jim and Nancy. We all had a blast checking out all the exciting animals at the zoo.

Big & Tall

We went to the doctor today for Parker's one year checkup. He is still off the charts and is showing no sign of slowing down. He is 33" (97%) and 26 lbs. 13 oz. (92%). We are just so thrilled that Parker continues to be a healthy and happy boy. Hopefully our last week of summer will be full of more sunny skies and fun family time.

Birthday Bash

It is so crazy that 1 year has already gone by! We had such an amazing time at Parker's 1st birthday party on Saturday. It was so nice of our friends and family to come, especially due to the distance many people travelled.

Parker's favorite things were definitely the balloons and the cake. He ate half of his smash cake, and would have kept going if his mean mommy didn't take it away.

He loved playing with all of his friends and cousins, and is very grateful for the generous gifts he received.

Family Vacation

Last week, we went on our first family vacation to Branson, MO. On the way down, we stopped at the St. Louis zoo. Parker loved the monkeys and the penguins.

In Branson, we spent a few days with Jon's sisters and their families. Parker loved meeting his cousins and he had a blast at the water park and Silver Dollar City.

On the way back home, we stopped back in St. Louis and went to the City Museum and World Aquarium. It took all our strength to keep Parker from jumping into the tanks to play with the turtles and swim with the fishes!

Busy Social Calendar

This week, Parker has been keeping us very busy with all his activities, and it is only Wednesday! He spent the entire time at Kindermusik yesterday laughing, playing and moving to the music. Then he enjoyed the day today at the zoo in Peoria. Parker definitely loves the lions giraffes, and monkeys but not so much the horses and donkeys. We are hoping the weather holds up so we can go to the pool Friday, so check back for more updates.

Father's Day Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend visiting family and friends for Father's Day. Parker had a blast driving his truck around Grandpa Jim's new house and playing games with his new friends.

Quick Learner

Parker is learning new things everyday. His walking has definitely improved, so much so that he really only likes to walk if he is carrying something as he goes (often times objects that are much too heavy). He also decided he wanted to feed himself with a spoon, and since it was oatmeal for breakfast, it caused quite a mess! Parker is enjoying his play dates this summer, and is working on playing nicely and sharing with his friends.
